Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and dancer-choreographer Dhanashree Verma have legally divorced. According to ABP Live, the proceedings were finalised on February 19.

The judge mandated a 45-minute counselling session before they confirmed their mutual decision to separate. The legal separation was announced at 4:30 PM at the Bandra Family Court. The couple reportedly cited “compatibility issues” for their separation.

Meanwhile, Dhanashree has been facing heavy trolling over her divorce from the Indian cricket player. Many social media users are seemingly angry over the alleged ₹60 crore divorce settlement between the two.

“60 crore milne ke baad ki Khushi (the happiness you get after minting 60 crore),” wrote one user.

“Unfollow her every one,” wrote one user while another posted, “Dhan Le Gayi Stree.”

Dhanashree earlier posted “Aaj toh cake banta hai (I deserve a cake today)” apparently after a heavy workout. She wrote the caption while showing off her well-trained figure. One social media user wrote, “60 cr k ghamand m cake to banti hai (You deserve a cake for the pride of having 60 crore).”

There has been no official confirmation about the financial settlement between the two. At the moment, it is all random speculation.

Dhanashree’s family reacts to alimony speculation

Dhanashree’s family has reacted to the ongoing speculation about the ₹60-crore alimony.

“We are deeply outraged by the baseless claims being circulated about the alimony figure. Let me be absolutely clear—no such amount has ever been asked, demanded, or even offered,” one of her family members told LiveMint.

“There is no truth to these rumours whatsoever. It is deeply irresponsible to publish such unverified information, dragging not just the parties but also their families into unnecessary speculation,” the member continued.

“Reckless reporting like this only causes harm, and we urge the media to exercise restraint and fact-check before spreading misinformation and also be respectful towards everyone’s privacy,” they added.

Advocate Aditi Mohoni, representing Dhanashree, has condemned the media speculation.

“I have no comments to make on the proceedings; the matter is currently under subjudice. The media should fact-check before reporting, as a lot of misleading information is being circulated,” Advocate Aditi Mohoni said.

Chahal and Dhanashree’s message on divorce

“From Stressed To Blessed – Isn’t it amazing how God can turn our worries and trials into blessings? If you’re stressing about something today, know that you have a choice,” Dhanashree wrote.

“God has protected me more times than I can count. So I can only image the times I’ve been rescued that I don’t even know about. Thank you, god for always being there even when I don’t know it. Amen,” Yuzi wrote.

The ABP report said that during the divorce hearing, the judge directed the couple to attend a 45-minute counselling session, after which both Yuzvendra and Dhanashree confirmed that they were seeking a divorce with mutual consent.

The judge officially granted divorce to Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma, declaring that the couple is no longer legally bound as husband and wife.
